Hello all, my name is Lachelle and this fundraiser is on behalf of Eklaas Khalil, a Gazan mother and wife trying to evacuate her children to safety. Please read her story below:
My name is Eklaas Khalil. I created this fundraising campaign in the hope of helping my small family. I am a mother of two children, Malik and Maria, Malik, 9 years old, and Maria, 5 years old, from Gaza City. I was displaced in Deir al-Balah with my family without my husband. He could not accompany us because my father-in-law was sick with hemiplegia, and it was very difficult to be displaced. With us and I had many dreams, ambitions and successes, and a beautiful and colorful life, but as you know, the Israeli occupation destroyed our dreams and our lives, and bombed the house on our heads and took my children out from under the rubble, and after that we went to the south of the Gaza Strip, we lost our homes, our money, my brother and my family members in this war, Today, everything has become very difficult. We have escaped from death several times to several places to search for safety, but there is never a safe place in Gaza. You can’t imagine how hard it was because I did not find a shelter to protect me and my family from the cold even a clean clothes food medicine! My only hope is to save me family and start a new life from scratch, it is very difficult to leave your homeland, I hope you will help me provide the basic necessities for my children
